ABA Therapy Services

Columbus families have access to ABA therapy through several providers serving the region. Treetop ABA Therapy provides both in-home and center-based ABA services in Columbus, with experienced BCBAs developing individualized treatment plans. We accept most major insurance plans and Georgia Medicaid, and our team handles the authorization process.

Diagnostic and Medical Services

Piedmont Columbus Regional offers developmental assessment services. For comprehensive autism evaluations, families may also access services through Augusta University Medical Center or Emory University’s Marcus Autism Center in Atlanta. Telehealth options have expanded diagnostic access for families in the Columbus area.

Educational Support

The Muscogee County School District provides special education services including IEPs, speech therapy, occupational therapy, and autism-specific support. Parents have the right to request evaluation and participate in all educational decisions. The district’s special education department can provide information about available programs and services.

The Autism Society of Georgia connects families with local support groups and resources. Easter Seals of Middle Georgia provides developmental services. Military families at Fort Moore can access TRICARE-covered services and the Exceptional Family Member Program. The United Way 2-1-1 helpline provides information about local resources.
